Cystolitholpaxy

Cystolitholopaxy is a procedure to remove stones that have formed in the bladder, due to the crystallisation of salts in the urine.

The procedure lasts less than half an hour and is carried out under a general anaesthetic. It involves passing a small scope through the urethra and up into the bladder. If the stones within the bladder are very large they will be broken up into smaller fragments, but if they are small they will be removed whole.
